I have been researching ways we can cut back spending a bit around our house recently and have found some awesome tips and tricks (thank you Pinterest!).
Now I'm sharing with you the ones that I have tried and found to be worthwhile.
I'm starting with the simplest, plus you will need these same ingredients for laundry detergent and a few other things I'll share later, so its helpful to pick these things up right away.
So here it is...dish washer soap!
Dish Detergent
1 cup Borax
1 cup Arm & Hammer Washing Soda
2 packets Koolaid Lemonade (the no sugar added kind)
Mix these together well and add approximately 1 tbsp to each load.
(I store mine in an airtight stainless steel coffee canister we had sitting around.)
The cost to throw this together is $0.78 a batch and it does about 32 loads of dishes!!
Also, if you're looking for a cheap trick for rinse aid...try White Vinegar. Don't worry, it won't make your dishes stinky, and it will rinse them spotless!
Keep these products handy and get ready for a homemade laundry detergent recipe!
